That's about $8.50 per sheet.
We expect to be able to beat that if you purchase a 16 sheet box of 6 mm.
Stay tuned!

I think their starting thickness will be 6mm, just to see how things go.

Getting the 6 mm product qualified and ready to sell in the USA is the current priority. After that, shipping to other locations and product variations of color, thickness, and density will be considered to grow the business.

I am surprised at the Price of depron in EU.

It is made in Germany or at least in EU by german company.
SO shipping should be cheaper than all the way to the USA.

I have heard that Depron is used as a flooring insulator and underlayment.
If that it true then I expect that the UK building trades should be importing the stuff
at relatively high volumes, thus making it widely available to modelers.

So I assume that the Govt is applying some sort of PUNITIVELY high Tax.

Then might do so to anything coming from USA as well.

Good luck with Adams, your going to need it.

About 5 years ago when I was big into this and FFF had just been cut off at Lowes I went to them. The housing market was still booming, so we were a little peon to them.

Dan (FoamFly) actually bought a large pile of green and white FFF they had made for someone that backed out. Thats how I found out about them. I contacted them about white FFF with no ink and no holes. I got the minimum order and borrowed the money to make it (at the time it was 4 pallets). Delay after Delay after Delay ensued. Finally they agreed to send me some samples. What they sent me was not up to snuff in density and was too flexible. I emailed back with my observations and after that got told they had some large insulation orders and that basically they would have to contact me in the future to let me know when they could do my run.

That contact never happend. Maybe since the housing/building market is in such a horrible condition they are looking at hobbiest seriously now as a source of income for them. Either way, good luck with them, they pretty much killed the small hobby business I had and a lot of my desire to fly since I could not build my own planes anymore.

Does home depot and lowes not carry FFF anymore? I still got the bundle that I bought about a year ago. Just used up 4 sheets last night on a larger plane so gonna need some more soon.

They do, but it's extremely hard to find. I spent over a month of strenuous search and calling around to narrow it down to 2 Lowe's in upper (Tamecula to Barstow) southern California: Ontario and Huntington Beach. Other ones (even the ones that say they might have it on the website) won't even order it. Allied Building Supplies can order pretty much anything you desire, but they won't do it unless you order a minimum of 2 pallets, unless they have it on hand. Most of other foam companies in this area only deal with EPS, which is not bad if you have a good foam cutter and do not plan on crashing your models.

$Tree is becoming more and more popular.... unless this thing here turns out well.

3m depron-like foam (a bit softer and a bit more fregile) covered in paper on both sides, making it approximately 5mm. Most people peel the paper, simply because it's too heavy and comes off too easily if it gets wet. Dollar Tree stores sell them, but I think it's US only. Oh, and it's dirt cheap.... $1.00 for a 20"x30" sheet, making it around 24 cents per square foot.

A Lowes 20 mins. from me have FFF for $30 a bundle of 25 sheets. 2' x 4' x 0.25 inch. Is that a good price? It's greenish in color and not blue.

My Lowes still has the blue FFF.

I've heard that the green FFF is more brittle and difficult to work with.
