Just a bit of an update and clarification. The "bad news" does not equal bad foam. The production sample that we received was intended by the manufacturer to be 4mm. This tells us that they can hold thickness tolerance well. It is a very high quality surface finish, much like Depron, and therefore a saleable product.

We are pushing for the lowest density possible with a quality finish. Meeting soon with the manufacturer to finalize the first order.

We do anticipate once we are up and running that we will have other thicknesses available. All this is pending success and the market.

Planning some comparison testing on the production samples.

I Use about 1&1/2 Bundels aYear os 6mm but wiould like some 3mm about20sheets A year

Sounds like it will be just the ticket for foamies. I'm running low on pb3 so I'll be looking to buy a couple of boxes.

End to foreign foam dependency! lol... kind of like oil thing...

Springer and I have an appointment with the manufacturer this Thursday to go over some details. Hoping to be able to give the green light to them then.

Sweet. Are they going to adjust weight and thickness to your original specs or stick with the sample quality you got from them?

My supply is getting low. Would love some new white stuff!

Any updates from today's meeting?

Mike and Ken attended. I could not. Based on the phone conversation we had after the meeting it went very well. I'll let them provide any detail they want to share. I remain very confident and enthusiastic. But, unfortunately we appear to still be a few weeks away from having foam to sell.

Just to let you all know, the meeting went very well. Mike and I got an education, as well as getting assurances that we will now be able to get the low density, flatness, and thickness originally spec'd.

Folks are going to love this material. I believe that if the economic climate remains friendly, we will be looking back and saying "remember when we used to have to build with that blue or pink wavy foam stuff".

YAY. looking forward to a bundle. Although now that i've learned that showering with rediboard and letting it dry makes the paper super easy to remove i'm not in as much of a hurry.

(I don't ACTUALLY shower with rediboard).
