We've had a couple of guys asking if we could supply a smaller quantity than the regular 16 sheet box as they don't go though foam very fast (though I can't understand why!
) or aren't sure if they will like it, so want to just get a "sample box". I did a bit of research on shipping costs for an 8 sheet box. (any thing less than 8 and I'd be concerned that the customers might get their foam pre folded...) Checking shipping rates, I found that shipping an 8 sheet box will be essentially the same cost as the full 16 sheet box. Since we're shipping mostly air the box weight, which won't change, dominates. So, an 8 sheet box at $25 plus $15 shipping - any interest?

I should also note that we've finally gotten around to adding a gallery page to our website, so you guys who've posted your planes may get some comments or questions about them, and you can say you've been "published" on the web!

Here is my autogyro I just finished made with MPF except for rotor which needed to be 1/8" thick sheet so had to use depron for that. Rotor span 40" and AUW with 2S 450 mah lipo is 6.5 ounces.

Excellent for watercraft! No absorbtion at all. The final airframe will be as waterproof as your joints and seams - that and pilot error (
) are all you have to worry about!MPF Icon A5

I like that it does not have a skin on it or small perforations in it like the Blue Core I had. I used Foam Tac for gluing and it sands well and takes Testors Model Master paint nicely. In fact I sold the stack of blue foam I had at a swap shop a few weeks ago and will only be using the MPF from now on

Sad, how woodies and stinkers think that us electric foam guys are making phun of them...
A week ago I was at the monthly SRCB club meeting and showing one of my Pinkstar derivatives, along with a couple of other Pinkstars for comparison. When a Giant Scale guy needed to bring his huge plane to the table in the front I just shoved my pile of foamies off on to the floor. One of the other foamy flyers said, "Try that with your stick-n-tissue planes!" The foam guys all laughed, of course, but the woodies and stinkers were sour-faced. Forget 'em. |
