Put me in for a box.

Another lurker/follower here. I would be interested in a box of foam dependent upon the final price. I realize nothing comes for free, I just dont want to be abused and feel like smokin' a cig afterwards if you know what I mean

I dont mind paying extra for a truly good product. So I will toss my hat into the foamy pool . Please email me thru RCU with the details for methods of payment and costs per package/ bundle

I will let my fellow foamy flyers know about this.

I was just wondering, Why not use the foam material itself to construct the packaging? When you receiver your goodies you can use the packaging box for smaller parts/pieces in your projects? Less waste, better use of resources...

Wow! We sure have a bunch of enthusiastic potential users. But, it's still a bit early.
First we have to get a quote that allows us to offer a reasonable price. Then the sample run, to verify that we have the product right. Only after that happens can we start accepting commitments via PayPal payments.

We wil announce availability here on this thread first. So, if you want to among the first to have this foam stay tuned.

Could you give us a rough ETA? I've been holding off buying foam for some large scale models to build during winter. I can't wait much longer so if this is over a month wait, let us know please.

Not at all a crazy thought. Right now we are expecting boxing will be about the same cost and less labor for us. In addition we think it offers better protection for the product, partly because the shippers are set up to handle boxes. The decision rests on the quote responses we get. It's a business decision that will be driven by perceived cost and value. Right now card board has the edge. But foam could win out, especially if we end up with a free supply of "roughed up foam" from the manufacturers processing (bundling and skidding).

Thanks for the suggestion. We can use all the good ideas we can get.

There are many unknowns in the time line. And, considering how long it has taken just to get the manufacturer to indicate they will provide a quote, my guess is it will be over a month, but it could be faster if things fall in line. For the record, I tend to be rather cautious about estimating time requirements.

I am excited about what is happening. Ever since seeing the material that Hippo got from Adams. We are now waiting for some detail information from them before we give the green light to produce. When it comes available will depend on their production schedule.
