Totally on the same page Henrik
The 3D motor version is a 2839 or 28 dia X 39 short can. Its a 2200kv motor being pushed on 6S or 21V. The fans, other than one being counter rotating I don't see a difference from the standard FW 70mm fan. Such a short motor turning at high rpms to get the 3Kg that they state below 110amps is doing better than Wemo with any of the top motors out there that draw even higher amps. So my guess is the 3kg is peak burst figures but that is just speculation. If someone posts a vid of a PnP SU-35 in a hover, them may be I'd change my mind.
I'll eventually put these fans in one of my SU-34s to find out but despite my prior comments, the factory fans from FW have alway surprised me as to how much these plastic cheap fans actually put out and some of them last.

I just got mine and both the Manual and mine have the vent like V8s with the fins forward. So NS if you turned yours around because you were repositioning the ESC's please advise. So off to the other thread.....

Max if you look @ the box its says the standard version on 4s is 3000kv motors on 45a esc. The 3D version is 2200kv motors on 6s 55a esc's.

Thanks V8 you are absolutely right. I'll go back and change my post to 2200kv but the concern remains. At 2200kv 21V thats 46200 calculated rpms with a cheap plastic fan to produce 1.5Kg ea. All doable but at 50amps????? My F-35 70mm was seeing 69amp.

If you go to the CS 10 blade thread, they gave up comparing the CS to Wemo loads but are consistent with the low expectation of short can motors being able to handle some expectations.
If those fans are having a hard time achieving low amps and 3kg, with can generally 50mm and longer, it gets only hotter if you go to a shorter can. Thus my wonder. I just pulled my FW 70mm fan and matched it to the fans in the box. No point taking a picture since you wouldn't see a difference. They are identical in every respect other than one is counter rotating.

So an easy compare is what were all the numbers anyone has been getting from any of the FW 70mm model line up. They either just found or made a super motor or something is a little off They would get the thrust but not at such low amps.

Thats why i still have a hard time believing 50 or 55a will do on this plane for very long.

On another note I haven't really followed the 70mm cs 10 blade thread mainly the cs 12 blade thread. Ne how being that the specs on different website show 2100-2200kv motors for the CS fan, would it be safe to say the stock FW motors are sufficient for these fans?

I think it will be consistent with the previous performance from the same FW 70mm EDF. 1.6kg ea at about 60-65amps. I'm not saying this in absolute... if they have a motor that can do this, I want it!!!! Thats very low amps for a 6S setup that is pushing 1.5kg on a cheap fan. FW hasn't updated their site with the SU-35 or motor so I'll have to just wait and see with the PnPs or when the motors are sold as parts. But then again I'll also have to wait to see if they last at all also because pushing a short can usually just burns them up which was what Henrik alluding to.

I got some of the 2200kv PNP motors coming my way in a few days, so that's why I was asking.

V8... not sure if you read the other thread but I think I know why you setup your tail stabs as you did. And looking to the pics you would have had way too much movement from these.
IN short the manual sucks and the pics encourage to do the opposite of how this should be setup.

The SU-35 on Stock Setup is faster then the F-18 Super Hornet on Stock Setup.

Flight Characteristics are very good once all setups are being done.

I'm starting to quite frighten about ESC numbers.

I'm starting FPVing and I have to put an order soon at HK so I may start picking some good 2 ESCs in prevision of complete disaster.
