I like mine! I would be lieing if I said that I would not like a little more power,but because I wanted to run a 6s setup I went with this. There is plenty o power for this plane.

8S on the Hacker A60-5S, will definitely give you more..... But I run 6S on my Slick, and the planes weigh pretty close to the same...plenty of power for me, even using a 20X10....

the one thing i like about the motrolflys over the hacker is the prop adapter. the motrolfly's use a bolt on, the new hacker 28 pole motors use something different. i havnt used one, and no one has complained so it obviously is no big deal, but just throwing that out there.

it says back mount and collet prop adapter included, so i am assuming it uses a set screw to hold the prop adapter on.

I assume this is what you are talking about....
I've never used anything like it. I'm not even sure the order is correct since there is no clear picture on the box and the directions are no help.

I hope the order is correct.

Ok, thanks! So its pretty much a complex collet adapter? When you tighten the prop it tightens onto the shaft?

What it would look like if there was a prop in between.

The prop shaft is also the motor shaft, as it runs all the way through the motor, There is a tapered collet that seats up against the motor (or as shown in the above photo) they also give you a sleeve about a 1/4" long to move it out farther if needed), then the prop thrust plate seats on the taper. It is not like a collet that fits over the end of the prop shaft. Once you tighten the prop down, it locks in place, no set screws, nothing to bolt on, very secure. The prop nut is also a locking two piece nut.....which also works very nice.

Correct.... But not complex at all....much less complex than bolting a bolt-on prop adapter on, and much truer running....absolutely no chance of it being off center at all.

The end lock nut is also threaded so a Tru Turn spinner would bolt right up.

I wonder why they decided to go that route? Wouldn't a bolt on prop adapter be better?

No, as stated in my last post, much truer running that a bolt-on, and much easier to manufacture

Ok, but I generally like bolt on prop adapters better. I'll still probably get this motor though.

Also, if you bend this shaft, you can't just bolt on a new prop adapter, you n eed to replace the shaft.
