Is that with a Hacker A60-6XS? Which prop? If I could get 6 min easily and have a little room to spare, I would be very happy. I am definitely considering those Glacier packs. A guy at my field uses them in his heli and loves them. They're lighter than the equivalent GensAce too. And it's very interesting that they have a 7S pack. Does anyone else sell a 7S pack? I thought about buying a 6S and a 7S to try out, but honestly I'm a little scared that I would accidentally charge the 6S as 7S one day.

Use a Hyperion Super Duo, and you won't have to worry about that, as if you plug a 6S pack into a 7S program, the charger will warn you...

What size Lipo for RX/Servos?

I have a CC BEC Pro and want to power via a 2S or 3S Lipo. What size battery are most people using? I'm planning on using four HS-7955TGs. I'd like to get at least 5 flights on one charge. Any idea about how many mAh the RX/Servos use in a typical flight on this plane? I have a couple 3S 1300mah batteries I'm not using.

Run a pair in parallel...or with some type of redundancy system

True. My iCharger 208B would also warn me as well, so I guess it's not that much of an issue. Plus the 7S would have a different balance connector and that should tip me off when I'm connecting it to the charger.

I don't use a separate RX pack in 30CC size planes. I run a BEC Pro, right off of my flight packs.

This is my first 30cc size plane, gas or electric, so I wasn't sure what was typical. I'd definitely like to power the BEC off the flight packs too, for light weight. Which do you think is more common, a dedicated battery or running off the flight packs?

BEC off of the flight pack is probably the most common on planes up to 30CC size...about that...separate packs....

Awesome. I like this option of going 7S, especially since it will result in a little less current draw. Will the A60-6XS work ok on 7S? I guess I mean, does Hacker support it?

Got in 4 more flights today on a calm, pleasant December Colorado day.

This is definitely my favorite of all the planes I've owned. I told myself I wouldn't get low with it until I had a number of good flights on it but it feels so locked in and gives you so much confidence that you can't resist flying it right in front of your face!

Thanks to Zach Lambert for the photos!

No, they will not... When I first got my A60-6XS (which was as far as I know, the first 6XS sold to a private customer), the people at Aero-Model (including Sean, the owner), where adamant that the motor was not to be run on anything other than 6S. Since then, Noll, and a couple other guys at 3DHS have run them on 7S, and I believe even on 8S, and said they were wicked powerful.

Great shots, and great flying!! I agree with you, the Edge is in a league all of it's own!! I have HS-7955TGs in mine, and HS-985's in my 71" Slick. I would really like to put a set of the 7955's in my Slick, bu alas, no money to do so. I think I might try the HS-7954's and see how they compare.
