I have a 71 gas slick and am considering selling it to a friend. Does the Edge fly as good as or better than the slick? Is it as floaty as the slick? Can someone compare the 2 different abilities of each plane?

Thanks

Eric

Yes I have the 74 edge and the 70 slick. Love them both. My answer to you would be as good / not necessarily better. Apples and oranges but both delicious. Floaty? Beyond your wildest dreams. Does not want to land is a better assessment. It BEGS to be harriered. I will say that the slick seems to tumble with a bit more authority but the 74 Edge will not disappoint either. This is a trick question as to which one is better because there is no wrong decision.. Sleep well on that!!!

Wanted 3dhobbyshop 48" EPP Extra 330 Starboard main wing

Each post of this request was meant to target buyers of models from 3DHS that may like most have more then one model from that vendor as many here and do not use the classified adds this seem to be the only way to reach the buyers of this brand. A little dog not mine ruined my wing and I have not gotten a response from 3DHS since 10/9 about getting a new wing, as the wing is the only part that is damaged I am searching for a replacement
I need the starboard main wing for a 3dhobbyshop 48" EPP Extra 330, if you have one I am in the market, please send me a PM

1 gallon of break in mix run thru a new gt 33 cant wait to try a new prop next weekend. 18x8 is great for all around fun, hucking and sport flying. But i think this engine is quite capable of so much more. Next up Xoar 19x8. Trying to acquire a falcon 18.5x6w. ? how to check engine temps after 5min. flight, with no gauge? I think it has adequate ventilation.
74" edge, breaking in a gt33 (5 min 44 sec)

If it's running well, then the temp is OK. If it were hot, it will lean out and die on a long up-line.

Nice to know it's running well. As for the 18.5x6W prop....I've got one backordered with Bob's Hobby Ctr. in Orlando....I believe it's not a common size and it may be a while before I get mine....if you want one, go ahead and get them to backorder you one so you're on the list when they get here...I love mine so much I wanted a spare.

Dont forget to check the 4 bolts holding the OS's backplate on.... my brothers had all 4 bolts loosen and let the front of the engine pull over the sealing o ring .... instant flameout. (he got the plane down safely)

Mine were still tight but i took them out and threadlocked them anyway.

The Duratrax Infrared thermometer is inexpensive and works well....
