The Edge uses a two part motor mounting system. A short motor box that you mount a gas engine to, or if building an electric version, there is an extension motor box that must be added. Either way, you must drill holes to mount the motor or extension box. Here is how I did mine....

And...as I don't like firewalls that look like "swiss cheese", I replaced the extension firewall.

Self explanatory.... though not yet shrunk down, I like to put some heat shrink over the cable crimp. The Klein #1006 crimper is my preferred "weapon of choice"....

Though most instructions tell you to install the stab early on in the build, I like to install it just before the landing gear, which for me is always the last thing to install....

Finally got my motor installed (Motrolfly 5320-300), and all I can say is this plane rocks! This is by far the largest plane I've flown, and it flies so much better than the smaller ones -- so precise and so floaty. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Joe set it up for me. Also, the Futaba 9352 servos are expensive, but they are worth every penny.

Man, I would love to fly a plane set up by Joe. That must be amazing, perfect, and fun all wrapped into one.
