Congrats on the success MotoJoe.

I've got some news on my edge.....I wanted to try the OS GT33.....received yesterday...mounted...ran it in the driveway tonight....I'll fly it in the morning.

Initial report = EXCELLENT throttle response.....

only hiccup....first time I've ran across this on a gasser....it has a liking for bouncing off the compression stroke if it doesn't start on the flip...then it Starts and RUNS (a little) in REVERSE....anybody ever had this happen.....on a gasser? I've seen nitro motors that'd do it....

It runs great as far as I can tell in the driveway...can't wait for morning.

We will have to swap edge flights at Nall. Mine is electric and I wonder what it would be like with gas.

I'll make sure the engine is running forward for you...

now which two wires do I switch...

Can't wait.

I enjoy the edge...but my standards on engine performance are very high...I gave the DLE 40 flights and it was pretty good...but I wanted even better....I hope this OS runs as nice as my DA120's.....it sure is the $$ equivalent of a DA in the 30cc class....

Looking forward to the report, Mike.

Also, what standoff lengths did you use and did the OS mount right to your existing canister muffler and header pipe? Did you have to redrill for the mount?

the gt33 will start backwards. just kill it and flip it again...

Just out of curiosity, can your flip the prop backwards against compression to make it start forward? This was always my favorite method of starting large nitro engines, but never tried it on gas engines...

I gave it a few flips backwards thinking the same thing, but it wasn't interested really... flipping forwards has started it pretty easily thus far ...

the timed ignition is probably the biggest drawback... the controlled detonation triggered from the other side of the swing...
