Just good luck I guess...we will see if it holds....anyway, you aren't building yours now anyway, right?

DLE30 is now ready for install with standoffs, throttle arm, choke linkage, and header on it.....for those of you new to gas, here are a few photos of the setup.....the choke arm and rod are ALL homemade, the throttle arm is stock DLE, and the ball link is 3dhs.....header is 3DHS omega....can is also.....3DHS sells the header and can as a set with clamps.

Also, you may notice that I solder the hole in the choke plate closed...this is a trick I learned from jclark to help a 30cc pull fuel up a little better under choke when priming a cold motor. Nothing fancy, just regular solder and iron after shining up the brass around the hole by lightly scraping it with the tip of a hobby knife so the solder sticks well.

I will also be running the 3DHS omega carbon spinner...it comes drilled for the DLE and cut for a XOAR prop!! I will have to trim a little for the VESS as they are thicker than XOAR...not much...you will need to supply your own spinner bolt....I get mine at the local FASTENAL store.

I can't wait to fly this thing.....I'm going to balance the prop and get all the radio gear setup.....waiting on the brown truck now...

Those little 30's rip! My 72'' 330 is a blast with that little motor.

Im going to run the Motrolfly 4325-310. Prop is undecided maybe an 18a or 19a Vess. Im really liking the Vess props.

Batteries are Sky Lipo 20c's. I have run their 20c's in an 8S plane before and they worked great!

Wow you've been busy, and looking good. The choke lever setup and arms look nice. Yea I have to order motor and servos, am anxious to see your setup, so I have a chinese blueprint. Hope you take a few pics during your build. Can't wait to see her flying.

Have you ever compared the Vess props against the Xoar's in efficency?

Vess doesn't make a electric prop though?
I would use a Xoar electric prop.

Vess does make one up to an 18".

Their 19" props and above are gas.

I have not done actual tests.

But when I ran them both on my 50cc the Vess always worked better.

I have not run any Vess prop smaller then a 22". When I ran a Xoar 23x8 compared to a Vess 23A the Vess def performed a lot better in the air.
