Right Lenny. Now all I can think about is flying the Surprise. I want to quite work and go fly ! ! ! It just flys so well and is so much fun!!

so what is this secret to getting the most hang time in dead air without running the motor on an F5B plane thing that you are talking about? Spill it!

Sorry Fred, just yanking your chain.

To maximize air time in dead air donít turn. Go straight until the plane gets hard to see then do a slow gradual turn back and go the other way until the plane gets hard to see. Donít be fooled into trying to turn onto lift, if it isnít there or weak you will loose too much altitude by turning. If you can fly consistently at minimum sink speed this will also extend you times but this is hard to do because minimum sink is slower than max L/D speed and just above mush speed. IMHO it is better to fly a little above min sink speed than to risk mushing where your sink speed goes up really fast.

The Surprise 10 flies like an extension of yourself. It goes where and does exactly what you tell it to do. It is SSSMMMOOOOOTH. This is not to say I fly it smooth.
