It would be interesting to print the pages out, join them and then compare the outline dimensions to Gordon Rae's 3-view.

Otherwise the structure is just too light for a successful B-Classer. A few tumbles and it'd fall apart. It needs the VTRSIG treatment, where the outline is preserved but the structure is made more robust with solid balsa wing (say 1/2" thick) and a fuse built around a crutch which supports the engine on a plate.

Here's the VTRSIG version of the Nurk 1/2A Team Racer for an Olly Tiger Cub. It flies very nicely right off the plan.

Here's a more recent FAI Class Team Racer from Dennis Prior & Theo Georgiadis. Don't know if this would meet the Aussie Classic TR rules. It would be close. Can't remember off hand when they competed in the W/C's with this and were very successful with it.

It's also the only time I've ever seen a Russian KMD diesel in a model.

A few clubmates have them and on the bench they perform very well, but sofar no one has actually put one in a model.

the engine in the model 'MOSCO' is not an russian KMD, it's an spanish made motor from the PARES brothers, the RV model that was sold with the initiation in FAI races in mind , the link to the original page is :

If you look at the heading picture in the article you've posted the link to you'll see that the engine on the first page is indeed a KMD not a Pares engine!

Unfortunately, I'm only re-posting what is in the Spanish thread.

Many of the designs in that thread look really cool, so I'd welcome higher resolution material myself too.
