Speedo Thermal wing cores
I'm sure many guys have cut wing cores for the Speedo and probably cut more than one at a time. Any spares laying around?
Would be interested in pre-bagged wings as well I guess.

That said, I just got back from a business trip to the east coast including NJ/NY and I have to say I envy your fall colors, very beautiful. SoCal can be very bland.

I made a up three sets of EPP wings for myself and my friend to fit onto our Speedo's....They have lots of hours on them now, with no damage, and they fly great!! It's well worth doing. I built them with traditional EPP techniques, carbon spars and covered with NewStuff.
refer to Outlaw Speedo Thread, post #227. There are some pictures here;
Here's a list of materials and where you get them;
New EPP Speedo Wing-
Design concept; A more durable wing design with the same or better flying qualities as stock Speedo wing. It will be made of EPP foam and have carbon fiber spars, cross-weave taping to reduce twist, covered with 5mil NewStuff which is doubled over the leading edge in a D-box design. Ailerons will be balsa, and "full-span", for more positive roll control.
Wing Cores; EPP foam 1.9 density, CNC cut by Andrew at www.CanuckEngineering.com
Wingspan; 54" 1371mm (27" per panel) (a little more span than stock)
Root Chord; 6.5" 160mm
Tip Chord; 4.0" 102mm
LE Sweep 2.5" 64mm
Washout 1 degree
Spar slot .240" 6mm
Cost; about $20-25
Wing Spars; Carbon Fiber tubing, .210 diam. Need 2 Cost; 2 x $1.40
One Carbon Fiber ribbon spar, 60" for drag spar Cost: $7
One wing joiner tube; fabricate from 1/4" brass tubing from local hobby or hardware store
Covering; NewStuff, 5mil, Cost; $0.36 per foot
Scotch Extreme cross-hatch tape, M77 Spray Adhesive, GOOP, balsa aileron stock
I wanted a little more wingspan and longer ailerons for better handling. This wing will be STIFF.

Hey Mike, thanks for the link. I've read and reread your Speedo socking thread many times and actually have the carbon sock and resin you recommended on order right now. You should seriously be getting royalties from both companies you plugged as I'm sure their business has seen a bump. The materials should arrive sometime next week so will see how it goes from there. I've been a long time flier but am a real newbie to building, your threads for the Speedo have been a big inspiration so again, thank you very much.

Steeg, btw I ordered two sets of material for socking the Speedo and as of yet, I only have one Speedo. If you're interested and you can help me out with a wing I can maybe help you out with socking your fuse.

first of all im the guy who has been raving about seapoint.
i was thinking if i have strong wings i will need a strong fuse
sounds like a good plan
i think we both could gain some building experience from this
