There are too many variables with mid air collisions to generalize about the outcome of a collision with a solid core vs hollow molded wing.

My molded Concept was involved in a mid air in the last round of the preliminaries at Poway. The collision was definitely more that a small tap but the only damage was a small soft spot in the carbon Dbox area. The glider was immediately flyable without a field repair and was easily fixed at home by wicking in some CA.

When The Bruce and David Klein tangled mid air I was shocked that David's Swindle vertical cut so deeply into Bruce's Polaris wing. Dave's vertical was torn about halfway through it's chord but it held and managed to slice into Bruce's wing about an inch and half deep!

You just never know, you know?

Paul you should know by now the Concept drivers always chime in here which is always welcome. It's hard to be the best to ships around and get along at the same time.

Sure was a lot of yellow and black at poway, I have always thought the two colors went well together. Although black always seems to intimidate more that any other color. Flame suit on!
