There is this nasty static thing that pull the cassete tape up before you bring the tape down , you just have to be quick

What tape do you find works best? I've tried this with plain old "Scotch" tape and first moisture on it and it pulls away. Maybe Blenderm? Sorry for the off topic....

I use the clear scotch tape (the glossy stuff) 1/2" wide and cassette tape (Jonas likes ABBA I went for AC\DC), never an issue like that. To better help keep finger prints off it, and help it adhere even better try to take a long section and reverse it sticky side up, then tape it to a flat work surface to apply the cassette tape. You then can easily apply it to cover the gap, finger print free.
Roydor's method sounds good as well, between one of those your sure to have success.

The molds or mylars that were used to make your wing had a release agent on them. Wipe off the area where you are going to stick the tape with a little alcohol and try the tape again.

Done! It came in at 9.6oz with the CG at 67mm which is my starting point. I will post more about the build process later. I should be able to get out tomorrow for the maiden. Sorry for the crappy picture.

Put an altimeter on that plane. I'd like to know if you're launching it higher. It really seemed like I was launching it higher at AZ blue skies.

This is how I do it.

1. Cut the hole for the servo
2. Measure wing centre to servo disc centre
3. Mark the same dimension on top skin (wing centre to pushrod centre)
4. Take a 1.5mm music wire or drill and make the channel from the pushrod exit hole to the servo disc.
5. Increase with bigger diameter music wire
6. Bend servo end of pushrod and push trough channel
7. Fit to servo disc
8. Mark position for aileron bend where wanted
9. Remove pushrod and make aileron bend
10. Glue wing servo
11. Fit pushrod and glue aileron horn

An improvement from Jonas installation is also to make some more bends on the push rod to get the forces inline with the servo disc and aileron control horn. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures available right now. The simple U-bent rod can flex between servo and aileron. Not worthy on a full carbon glider :-)

Instead of an u-bent, I recommend the j-bent, as pr. Mr. Naton.

It seems to better lock in place at the servohorn.
