That's odd looking Joe but kind of inviting to model are you going to have a go at one?

Hi Rich
Still do not have any workshop space to do any projects but I like to dream of scratch building a scale model.
The weather up here has been awful and I have not been flying for weeks so I have had time to browse for ideas.
Hope to see you next year at the Autogyro events
Awe the best Joe

Nice autogyro
You must understand it's a modified 75% Cub kit plane.the radial version is very nice.
I drew up a plan a couple of years ago and seem to have lost it.( it's a seniors thing)

I'll admit you've got me looking at my E-Flight SuperCub sitting in the shop, but it's still fairly new. I would imagine the fuselage alone could be purchased from them to save time.

Anyone know what the thrust angles would be for the motor in the little wing? If it was the sam as the Cub, a convertible pylon, and tail section sure would be cool.

Regards,
-Mike

I checked on the E-flight fuselage only, in the parts section. It's expensive at around $100. There are also enough differences between my Cub, and the Little Wing that it would be easier and cheeper to build from scratch.

On another note; whilst riding my lawnmower recently with Hydrostatic drive I wondered if there were any small hydrostatic components available for a pre-rotator. Electric motors may not be up to the task for a large rotor diameter without lots of gearing.

Hi Bill,
The PCA-2 is not at the front of my current projects by any means, in fact it's dead last. Don't think the lack of it's completion means that I'm not still active in the hobby. I have been working on projects other than autogyros. Having converted almost all of my R/C aircraft to electric, I'm not even sure there's a place for the PCA-2 in my hangar.

Regards,
-Mike

Oh no! Say it isn't so Mike! You are so close to completion. I'd bet you are only a solid weekend of work to get it in the air. You can't abandon it now. Forget any more scale details and at least do a couple test hops. You've done such an awesome job on her. I hope the hesitation to fly isn't out of fear of damage.

Sorry to hijack your thread Jo. I've seen a handful of articles on the little wing. I think the search was on small radial engines that led me to it. I'll see if I can find it again. The radial looks so much cooler on the front of the Little Wing!

Count me in if you work up a set of plans. I've been eyeing this project for over a year.

Good luck on your research.
