http://kepople.rchomepage.com/images/tiny_F_spin.wmv

I just posted two new videos to my site taken at the small steps event saturday.

1st is Michael Connally and Gary Jones Flying thier foam jars in formation. Cool vertical torque/aileron rolls

2nd is Michael Connally flying his gnarly tiny x. I have never seen a flat spin like this!

Enjoy

Kirby,
That Tiny X flat spin vid is too cool.....

My kids were asking why I don't do stuff like that....I told them that when I do, I leave big streaks of balsa all over the field and get to buy a new fuse kit..

Are the plans for those foam jar planes posted anywhere? I think they are pretty neat! Think I'd like to build one.

It was fun there, I flew a bunch in the morning. Kirby, you must have gotten there after I left just after lunch.

Mike's Tiny is the Little Tiny rather than the Tiny X. He's got a gargantuan rudder on the thing.

Tres...I was actually thinkimg about adding some more to the rudder As far as the V-JAR (Vertical Just Ain't Right) the specs are as follows:
Mine has a 21" wingspan and a 28" chord including the 6" elevons. I am running a Razor 400 with a c gearing and a 13X6.5 or a 14X7 prop on a 2s1p 120 etec pack. Of course it has the carbon rods on the bottom for VTOL.

I didn't get to see you fly that one. I saw Gary flying his though, it looks like a kick to fly! I can't look at the vids because of my ancient super-dee-duper slow connection speed Maybe tomorrow at work

The jar video was funny. It looked like Gary was flying both of them for a while.

Ok its 21" span, then its 28" long or cord. 6" for the elevons, all that I understand. I've got enough goodies around here to build one except the Li-polys, I'll have to use my plain old Nicd's or some Nimh's, still should not be a problem. My question is how far back from the leading edge is the CG? Its got to balance somewhere!
