16" WS Micro X-44 by T3chDad
Okay, I was looking for a quick fun build fo a 27mm MDF. So I picked a favorite that was my third build. Originally built with AP05, 4" prob, Turnigy Plush 6a ESC, TP 250mAh 2S 20C bat, and BA 3.6g servos. Sub in the 27mm MDF and go with 3S bats (250mAh 20C and 320mAh 30C). AUW was 74g with the 250mAh bat and 85g with the 320mAh bat. That 27mm can hump.
Well the first flight was great. CG was spot on and though the thrust was not up there, it was what I had expected using the smaller bat. She flew.
On the second flight, though not exactly a speed demon, she was fun to fly in the wind that was blowing. That is up until I got dumb thumbs. I warn you, the sound at the end of this vid is sicking. I'll let her sit for a bit and then assess if I can repair the damage or have to rebuild. This hurt. More to come in time.
Pics added to show before and after.
