I wish I hadn't started the vaseline bit. Guy goes into a Swedish chemist, asks the chemist if he sells deodorant. YOU HAVE TO DO THE CHEMIST'S REPLY IN A SWEDISH ACCENT
Chemist replies "Ya, we have deodorant. We have the aerosol and the ball"
Guy says "Oh no, actually I wanted it for under my arms"

If it doesn't work for you you didn't get the accent right!

I think I am going to "decommission" my p-40 for a while. I have a couple of new planes coming in and need some of the electronics - plus the radio slot. Also still need to replace the hatch cover I lost - can't find a replacement anywhere.

I tend to prefer my 2 Formosas, the Moth 400 and the Stearman anyway. None of those need any vasaline to fly well. I can usually "Grease" the landings without it LOL

Just a thought, does anyone know where I can still get hold of the GWS EPS-400C power systems in the UK? I've just seen this guy flying his ME109 and absolutely LOVE the sound it makes. I want this sound to come from my Spitfire!

You will get the same sound form this one.....http://www.maxxprod.com/pdf/HG20xx-xx66.pdf...and it will be MUCH stronger than a 400C

I use this motor on my Moth 400 and Stearman and they definitely growl at you

Thanks Wolfe, what is the name of the gearbox so I can google it? The link doesn't want to work. Have you got any videos of you Bipes flying, just so I can hear it?

I got a 400C-BB from Hobby Lobby before, not sure if they would ship to UK. I tried the tips gotten onlin to advance the timing but it totally destroyed that motor. and then I took the shaft out and put into a Turnigy 3536 so I could use this motor in a FMS F6F with its stock propeller and spinner, again, destroyed another motor. But quite a fun for fooling around for a couple of weeks. Now I took and magnets out of the 400 to make my own prop balancer, and the bearings go to my other out-runners. I would say it is very versatile power system even though it only flew once!

Try this one. I don't have any video but what you are hearing is the gearing in the motor - they all sound about the same

I use the 2025-4266. It comes with three gears - I use the one that is on it when it comes. I also use this one on my Formosa 1 and I have unlimited vertical on that plane. These are made to fit right on the GWS stick mount
