So I ended up fixing the Mosa II (at least almost). I bought a hybrid precision + 3D 3DHS SV and I wanted to sneak a few flights on the Mosa before the maiden of the SV (as I think the Mosa will have more in common with the SV than the now crashed Edge). In revenge for neglecting her, she fought back quite a bit in the rebuild. Everything that can go wrong went wrong. I don't know where to begin LOL.
- Those nuts that secure the wings? Of course one had to fall half way through so i cut the whole thing out and replaced with a block of wood.
- 1 hour later, I notice the second screw/nut is stripped so I had to do same thing on the other side.
- The wing pins didn't hold the wing securely anymore so I had to do the "bambo skewers" mod instead.
- I painted the cowl over an older paint and the new paint bubbled through and made a mess.
- etc' etc'
Well she is done now at least, and to further appease her I changed her color scheme from yellow/blue to white/red.

I was hoping to fly her this weekend but headsuprc sent me the wrong ball bearing for the powerup 15 plus now I see that the bell is bent anyway. Unfortunately they are out of power up 15s so I need to decide what I want to do. I can't say I want to go down to the powerup 480 and I don't love the prop adapter of the FirePower 15. I don't know, we'll see...

LHS put them on clearance. They got a bunch of gearboxes and stuff too...

I would secure those wings so, they do not flex so much.

That Super Viper looks pretty sweet - should fly well. Let us know when the Mosa II goes back in the air

I got out yesterday for a short time - windy, but flyable. Got in a couple more flights o n the Mosa 1 - up to 65 flights one her now and she is still going strong - no bad crashes yet. Was practicing inverted to inverted rolls yesterday.

Should get out again this afternoon

Kimber - never hurts to get some extra parts - especially if they are that cheap

We ordered a couple fuselage sticks and a wing, tail set
and a parts set. They didn't stock the landing gear set.

Looks like I will be making a normal wing set for the TM. Don't like the cupped wings and all that dihedral. I just need to build a battery box for a 1320

JDM,

The stock TM Pico wings work well. You can lessen the dihedral by taping/glueing to the bottom of the wing/wings 2 CF rods/bamboo scewers connected with a short piece of aluminum tubing

Then just a layer of packing tape to make a flat bottomed wing and get rid of the undercamber and you're good to go.

I'll add a few ribs...the battery is my main issue now

I'm fixing my Mosa for the I think 8th time. The last three crashes came inverted flying and too tight turns, tip stall, low altitude, you know the story. The weird thing is that the Mosa will not die! I use gorilla glue or epoxy and fibercloth and she flies the same as before just uglier as far as the glue seams. And the other weird thing is for me she's more fun to fly inverted!

I tend to use the Mosa 1 to try to push things a little. She flies so well and does not seem to care if she if right-side-up or upside down. And she is usually pretty easy to repair and cheap to replace if I really screw up.

She goes to the field on almost every trip

Working on a 3 channel trainer foamy tonight in hopes of getting a couple of the grand kids back in the air this weekend. These are built by a local pilot and they fly very well - plus they are cheap LOL. Have the sister plane already set up on 4 channels and test flown.

Also have the Pico Moth ready to go if the winds are low enough for that one.

If I could find my drill I would get this done tonight - my wife cleaned the garage - no telling where the female mind would put a drill LOL. I can't ask because she is already asleep.
