Hi rafe, I bought a couple Formosa 2s from Tower this summer. They're still shelf queens but they both arrived in their own white boxes. *shrugs*

Now here's something I may not be remembering right.... I seem to recall the Formosa-II main wing being in two pieces. But the EPO wing in this kit is one piece. I don't think that that was a good idea... ISTM mine's a bit twisted, and has dihedral where it shouldn't. I'm trying to straighten it slowly with weights.

That is odd. How did it fit in the nylon bag? That must have been some pretty long bag...

Polyethylene bag, and yes, long enough to fit the wing and the rest of the plane, including the two decal sheets.

Oh, why is that if you don't mind me asking?
I've ordered through them in the past and haven't had any problems.

Bad experience. Plenty of other places that treat a guy fairly.

I got one of those this summer too but I dunno if it'll get built now as I have really fallen for my Tower Hobbies P-51.

But Tower is where l got mine. A bit cheaper than Headsup and it comes with a geared motor that makes a good paperweight:

$31.50 for your NPS if you wanna spray it yourself:

How are you planning to get her that light RTF?
Usually 14oz to 16oz is "the norm" if you build it light.

I've had 3 GWS P-15D Mustangs and they ranged from 14oz to 19oz RTF.
(battery weight included) From mild to wild in performance.

Don't get me wrong, i'm sure it could be done with micro electronics (mainly the motor, esc, servo's and battery) all the way around. Don't use any landing gear..... Ehh, you MIGHT be able to get her that light.

If you do succeed, I would love to see the finished product and a video of her flying.
