True....but he did have one hell-of-a set of 'paddle-bladed' ears!

A working plasma canon would be a great selling point - at least until everyone else starts putting 'em on their products. Would probably reduce flight-time a bit, but a larger pack aught to take care of that.

yea pretty much some sort of starship would be my vote.

Maybe the starship from Halo Reach. it has aerodynamic properties, but rare ones.

talk to SGTalon. I am sure he has some good stuff you work with you on!

After only the first two pages, many of those suggestions don't require the stabilization in the new receiver.

Now the Osprey would be super cool and could make use of the 3D gyro while it is hovering or transitioning.

Now, this one would give the AS3X something to do! Plus, a 1/4-scale model would only have a 54" span.

Not to gainsay your perfectly correct points, but a good question is also:

"Could this model take advantage of the AS3X?"

I think the GeeBee is a perfect example of the answer to that being a huge yes; so much so that it makes a model that would have likely had very limited appeal and a high frustration factor, to one that will probably have broad appeal, and a lot of smiling faces.

Oh my...this thread is in the "hot threads" group on the homepage.

Osprey Osprey, yes yes...the first aircraft that comes to everyones' mind...I want one two years ago...the holy grail of RC...UM even moreso...I picture two MCPx setups working in SBS config...wow...the pitch management would be a bear...just like the f/s. Inverted Osprey flying? G'luck with that...

There's a reason the Marines still have the venerable CH-46 Sea Knight in widespread service...after what, almost 50 years? And that would make a nice lil UMX also..
