Hmmmmm, still think we need the box, and at 28", that would be a big box. Just wait, I'm sure the AS3X technology will show very quickly in the larger parkflier soon enough though!

LOL UMX CHAMP 3D! Now we are just dreaming.

BUT.... flaps aren't too far off on a ultra-micro especially a champ when you use one servo for ailerons and one for flaps.. HMM maybe I just uncovered a good umx beast guts project. Whos got a champ airframe cheap for me? paypal ready

Check out how she flies though LMAO. That's insane in a good way. Like someone forgot to fit the bottom wing on a 4Site or something and flew it anyway.

I'd expect to be seeing that performance WITH AS3X already fitted !

wow what the hell..... Now I want that thing, flies awesome. Wish you could get BNF and PNP from towerhobbies on models like that. Those tronics and motors are too pricey for me. One of the reasons I love HH is because I can just open the box, charge battery, and go. BUT I've always got to have some project on the side

Bud, mistaken Bud...

There are more than a few 3D-capable Citabrias & Super Decathlons out there - even giant-scale.

I just fired up RF 5.5, loaded my 'aft CG' version of Dynaflite's 46% Super Decathlon, and did some KE spins, climbing flat-spins, waterfalls, walls, harriers, inside & outside snaps, KE harriers, hovers, torque-rolls, tailslides, and torque-rolling tailslides.

Here's a 47% Decathlon hovering right down on the deck:

iad 47% Super Decathlon with onboard starter TMFC 2010 (2 min 13 sec)

Hate to say it..but that's where HK comes into play...guts, motors and such. (no more HK planes for me. EVER. 'Nuff said.)

That Citabria would be an easy build and hella fun to fly...I don't fly high-wingers anymore...but....hmm.

Joel- didn't say high-wingers weren't capable of 3D...just not my personal preference is all.

I've never really owned a high wing plane. I want to get a large scale one. I was watching some "prototype this" show and they had a large scale cub that looked pretty cool on it. But the bigger the bird the bigger the $$ so HH bring on the UMX SUPER CUB 3d!

Yeah, I know. Just jerkin' your chain a little. Besides, I had to find an excuse to post that video.

BTW - I've only owned two high-wing planes. The aileron trainer on which I learned to fly, and my 1/4-scale Super Cub.

He often performs at the fantastic Hillsboro OR airshow...an event Not To Be Missed, btw...

I might go this coming year...you should too, if you can make it...always lots of big-name performers and jaw-dropping aircraft and routines..."notice" is given that the airshow is going to start by a pair of ANG F-15Es' going to full mil power right over the airport...love the smell of JP-5 in the morning! Sean Tucker often performs as well:
