I have the reflex set for up ele for launch, after reading enough threads I understand that it should help some with the launch.

It was originally designed as a profile fuse model but I just cut an extra side to make it a full fuse. My build starts here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...3&postcount=46 She was a sweet flyer once a I 'd added some nose weight.

But wouldn't 'temporary reflex' just be called UP Elevator!?? LOL
Really that is all it is.... Up Elevator to make a similar effect to having real reflex built into a wing.

And to have it really be "Reflex" it would be permanent (even if done via permanent up elevator trim), and that means needing a lot more rearwards CofG (more weight forwards) for it to fly without climbing all the time.

Under no circumstances does that make sense

Rearward/aft CofG implies more weight at the back, or balance point closer to the back, not "forwards".

LOL, oops... maybe it was reverse....sorry!
More forwards CofG

This will also make the CofG 'weird' relative to the CoL.... so it is just not the right way to fix things by 'warping' something else, which creates other aerodynamic balance issues.
Though it could fluke being BETTER.... or worse... than normal. Especially if the 'normal' state was not overly aerodynamically correct anyway.
But to me it seems a great acting little plane, so I suspect they did get everything quite right about it.

I'd like to know this aswell, ,as I've just started putting my RadJet together today.
All so , using the stock motor with above ESC running a 1300mAh 3cell Nano
what watts readings are you guys getting with 5x5 / 6x4 props..
This will be my first jet style plane, but once used to the way it flys
I'll be up-grading the motor.

The Evader fly's heavier than the Radjet, so everyday maneuvers you'd always get away with with the Radjet would make a lawn dart out of the Evader. The Evader has to be flown with speed and large sweeping maneuvers. And it lands much hotter than the Radjet with more landing room required. Also, fiberglass and balsa don't do well with really rough landings like a foam plane, and is much harder to piece back together after an oops.... Just some things to keep in mind. I've owned/flown both by the way....

RadJet. Stock motor, 30A ESC + 6x5.5 APC prop.

I'd say about 80 MPH, maybe 85? What do you guys think?

RadJet - 6x5.5 and 30A ESC First Flight (1 min 31 sec)

Hi Sean,

my first take off ended with crash, was my fault. The second start was succsess.
I measured the TGS 5x5E with 3S: 14Amps and 150Watts.
Stock prop (don't know the size) it was better: 15A - 170W
Stock prop with 4S: 20A - 285W

Here is a vid from the 3. flight:
Radjet 800 (13 min 4 sec)
