I did use your method on the elevator, its a lot stiffer than tape or the pin hinges i put on rudder (easier when fuselage section is thicker than rudder).

Have you tried HotGlue hinges, I have read about method and seen video but never tried, looks simple enough though.

As I said never had a tape hinge fail yet, suppose it depends on the tape and how you use it.

Short video taken with Cam glasses, very overcast but you get the idea.
Since flown with a TGS Sport 6X4E from Giant Cod, will stick with that prop as it seems just as fast as APC 6X5.5 but bit quiter and less amps.

well done with your excellent wot-next models and flights!

they are a lot of fun for very little outlay in terms of money or time

just to report..

i flew the "wot-next-on-floats" off water for the first time today!

what a little cracker! only had the one flight but managed about 20 splash and goes... it just looks so cool racing accross the surface of the lake and splashing down amongs the ducks

got to say.. it flies like it is defying gravity most of the time and needs total concentration! as it lacks any natural lift and is high in drag but what a laugh !

will try and get some video next time out

Was flying among the Red Kites over here today, they always come over for a look see when i am flying, they never follow as close if i attach the camera to the plane though.

Record number i have had flying around was 14, mixture Red Kites and Buzzards as far as i could tell, 3 different groups came to look at same time.

Would have liked to see the ducks reaction to the intrusion.

you are lucky having Kites and Buzzards sharing your airspace..

nothing so exotic here.. ducks and seagulls for us!
the lake is used for model boats a couple of times a week and the resident ducks just aren't bothered in any way..

the seagulls on the other hand....

will follow "anything" they chase the planes around the sky and chase the fast race boats at low level... its really strange watching them chase the race boats though!
