hooooge congrats on the Rolls.... thats what it is all about fella..

just point the nose up, kill the rates, open the taps and roll to infinity

am running 8x3.8 sf on 1800kv motor on 3 cells 1000ma..
it never ever sounds like it is strained or over loaded!

spends most of the flight at less than half throttle! (except for big climb outs as above)

try a smaller prop on 3 cells... it sort of sounds wrong.. but really works well

I have some 8X4 props that I will try; They are a lot more rigid than the ones I am using. I am guessing they will not deform with higher revs like the orange 9X5 i am using. We got snow here in central US and was -11 F or -23 C this morning so the weather has to improve before I fly again
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is cold

finally got my camera back, few pictures below, changed the colour scheme, do you recognise it??. Small addition was to add a 2" piece of depron at the LE and TE allowing me to locate the wing correctly every time. Thinking of adding UC. Not had time to fly and with the winds currently as they are be a while longer.

that looks excellent... a quality build my friend looks a million dollars (cost about 50)

bet you are itching to go and fly it the weather has been and still is really awfull here in North West England, we are just above freezing with gales blowing day and night for over a week now with no sign of any let-up

i got a new sea-dart built and ready for test flying... come on weather!

David

oh nearly forgot... the location blocks you put on your wing could damage the fuselage if you catch the wingtip when landing

How about reducing the blocks to just 6x6mm strips which would be dislodged/broken in the event of a less than perfect landing?
Very neat build Domll

hi

i use 3 cell 25-30c 1000ma packs and get 10 minute flights depending on the use of the throttle.... you can fly it fast or slow and it is fun at any speed

Depron vs EPP

I am stuggling to find some Depron here in New Zealand. Can someone tell me if EPP would work ok?

I would think that EPP would work. Leadfeathers' Quick Stick is EPP http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...=1215705&pp=50 and some have built with a KFm wing. You just might need to beef up the spar as EPP if not as rigid as depron

It has been to cold here to do much flying so decided it was time to build another "Wot Next" I am building this one by using your plans only I scaled the plans down for a 20 in WS . I should get it done in a couple of days. I will post pictures when that happens.
