Which video? I've watched a few on YouTube. How do you prep it for hot glue? That is what I think I am going to do as there is no 3M 90 around. Thanks

3M 90 can be had at any HD or Lowes. you can use hot glue just use the low temp ,or you will make a hole.

Thanks, I'm a couple hundred miles outside of Fairbanks but can pick some up on Monday when I head back up. Is 3M 90 better than hot glue? Is it worth the wait? I'd like to get some work done this weekend but I don't mind waiting either. Thanks

A different way to launch a ZII, a lot safer I think for your hands

Launching a Zephyr II with a jetapult (0 min 23 sec)

I bought it from fanjetsusa.com for around $70, it is designed to launch ducted fan jets, but it had no prob launching the zii, I guess you can make your own, but I have no idea where to get the silicone rubber thinguie.

They're quite easy to make. The rubber line is just surgical tubing which you can pick up for cheap at hardware stores, or even cheaper online.

Yeah its easy to make it but I was looking for something more compact, like without long bungee, maybe kind of sling shot type?

I made my own catapult using the rubber from Lowes/Home Depot and one thing I've found is that as the weather gets colder the rubber loses its ability to snap back after being stretched.

There is cold weather rubber tubing available but I haven't tried it yet.

For reference, the last time I used the surgical tubing it was just under 30 degrees.

Also, I've heard that the surgical tubing that is carried by Lowes/Home Depot breaks down in sunlight so be careful when stretching it out.

Is not that much of a problem, just stick the pult to the ground, and the the rubber to the ground about 10 paces from the pult, stretch..... Launch, have fun...

This one doesn't use surgical tubing, it uses some silicone thing, check the webpage.
