Maiden success but need some help

Hi, here are some pics of my finished Z2. Maiden flight was great, first throw and it was off pretty smooth. After landing and changing batteries the next two attempts failed and I had to go home with broken props. First launch had 11x5.5 APC prop and a bit of a headwind. Next attempt, no headwind and same prop. Then last attempt no headwind again and a 10x5 prop. I thew the Z2 and had a friend who is a better test pilot on the sticks since I wasnt sure I could do both at once. I attached a vid of my launch attempts in case anyone can see what I did wrong. I thought I had picked a high thrust option for 5400ft ASL and a 3s setup with stock ritewing motor and esc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you put a few clicks of Up throw on your launches?
in Youtube there is a video of Chris explaining how much throw and how to launch the ZII.
Found it!!!

@S0YL3NT So you have changed the batteries and after that you had problems with launch?
Would it be possible to measure the difference in weight between battery set you have during your first flight and batteries you changed afterwards to?
My first guess they are not equal in weight and this changed your CG to nose heavy slightly.
Regards
Michal

Which motor and esc for Zii

I'm purchasing a Zii and want to know if I should go with the standard rite wing motor and esc or should I spend the extra money and get the Castle Creations Ice 75 ecs and the motor I'm looking at is the OS 3820-1200 kV, It's the one team black sheep uses on their birds.

Also if anyone could direct me to where to find some good push rods I would appreciate it.

Any input would be greatly appreciated?

Ya i followed the instructions on that video. i also had triple rates set up, one with more throws and one with less. but they werent needed it flew almost perfect on Chris's recommendation.

@tty044
the batteries are an identical pair so weight should be the same. good point tho, i should hook up a battery tester and see if something is wrong with the second set.

I think headwind definately helped. its hard to tell from the video but im wondering if i threw too steep. i am also wondering if my prop choice is correct. my friends i fly with say i can push the pitch higher at this altitute but ecalc and motocalc say the prop will stall over 11x7. motocalc also says anything over 11x5 will be difficult to hand launch. not sure what to change.

@elliot000
thanks, the top is monokote over lam, bottom is vinyl over lam. the monokote was difficult, i used windex method to keep the bubbles out but to do it over i might try the same loctite adhesive way of putting the lam on.

start with 10mm (1/4 inch) each way on each stick, aileron can be 15mm if you like fast rolls
