I second your comment elliot000..

why can't there just be a link to some sweet control horns and push rods for the zephyr since they aren't included in the kit?

I have been using sullivan steel control horns, and ended up using full threaded rods from my LHS because I don't trust myself to do a solder clevis well enough.. it makes me so mad, the fully threaded rods bend with any sloppy landing.. a control rod is a pretty big thing to solder, plus i am completely retarded... some nice sleeves would be sweet too...

I know there are links all over this thread for stuff like this but searching through a 250 page thread for "clevis" or "control rod" etc, it's pretty hard to find some posts with actual links... and it's hard to determine what's good just by looking at pics online. it's amazing how big of a fit people throw just to copy and paste a link to something they bought that was awesome, "waa search the thread blahblahbalh"

now that I'm done complaining

I found this for you elliot000 from a post freshmint made buried in this thread

control horns
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8242
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8404

push rods
http://shop.dubro.com/products/produ...=172/101.0.1.1

it appears the 24mm ones worked for freshmint... i wonder if it's better to have the one with bearing that is currently out of stock?

If you use threaded rod you absolutely must sleeve it, just find some carbon rod and slip it over then epoxy or jb weld the ends so its stays put and only leaves a half inch or thread each end.
All Thread is very weak without support.
My local bicycle shop had ends that fit over the carbon to stop splitting or you can find some thin aluminum tube to use to put a small ring over the ends.

you can ask CK to add extra spars for pushrods when you but the kit, or you can email TBS and ask for the whole pushrod package with the "epoxy in" style horns, the TBS hardware is mega over the top and will never break, i reckon you could turn the whole wing into confetti and it would still be haning on perfect.

Ouch! I wished I had seen these a week ago. Just ordered two more of these...

Oh well.

Finally got my Z2 and Ruby worked out and loving it! I had to add a fair bit of dead weight to the nose to get the CG right. I am running 3000mah batteries and I have a stack of them, so not going to change them now.

Comes in at almost spot on 2.5kg flight ready.
