Nice recovery and safe landing. Between the fog, cows and fence you did real good avoiding a catastrophe.

I hot glued the balsa in.
You don't want to glue the wall anchors in either.
The reason is if you hit something it will come out eazy and not rip the winglet!

Finally maidened the ol wing. First toss(I call it football style) didn't work out so well since there was zero wind but that's the whole reason I chose a soybean field for my maiden. Just kinda crashed into the soybeans and came out unscathed. Next I did pizza box style and that worked perfectly. Probably my go to method at the moment. I'm using 72mHz and got some pretty nasty glitches which made up my mind to land which went smoothly as this thing is a breeze to fly, even with it being my first wing. I have the esc mounted at the back of the rear box and the receiver at the front of the rear box. Could the receiver being too close to the esc be the problem? I have my antenna run across one wing(on top of lam and cf vinyl) and the remainder is threaded through the winglet out the back. The only other thing i could think is it might be flopping up and hitting the metal servo control arm. Other than that I'm at a loss.

Thanks, I know the video kind of sucks but it was all gray and I was sick of it sitting there.

Soon as the sun comes out I will take it for more than one spin!

The first time I flew it, was with 100 watts and a 8" props.
It floated along pretty good.
With a blue wonder on it with 1300kv.
So if you can get 200 watts out of any 10 grams -20 grams motor. You should beable to cruz about 30-50mph.
But I mounted the other motor and it weighs in at 32 grams. which means I had to add anothe 2 oz to the nose to blance it out.
The CG point is 4" dead on!
I had it at 4.25" it would stall alot!
@ 4" it is smooth and stable.
Looking forward to getting out side and running a camera on it!
Just had to find the CG first before I start adding stuff to it.

Thank s for reading.
Peace!

As for your camera man. Tell him to lay off the coffee for a while. It makes the video real jittery.

Cool! I've been having a ball with this little sucker... HK wingwing
It's about 400g RTF with UHF and osd.
Running a axi 2204-54 on 6x5 and it pulls 7A max.
15 min flights on a 1300 3s
Max speed is about 85km/h and will cruise at 40-50km at 3A.

I'll be keen to try all the gear in a mini-Z as my Z2 needs a little bro

Chris.
