tims shop fpvmanuals has em and esprit has them...... the props sure are nice, they got a different sound than the apc i tried. I'd like to give a 10x5 graupner a shot, just too expensive to play with such a thin hard prop on this.... them aero nauts are tough

Ive got the prop stop that keeps em from folding too far back the delrin one, i need a spinner i guess that goes on front to prevent em from opening too much

It isn't the bolts that are tight, it is the shape of the cam lobe on the prop hitting the prop stopper too early. Even trimming it doesn't look like it'd help.

I cut mine out of an old credit card or Walmart gift card and it works perfectly. Just cut it with scissors and trim the ends so it folds where you want it. Takes about 5 minutes and costs nothing. I've been using the same one for well over a year now. I also have enough card left to make about three more.

I think the CC works better than the store bought one it allows the prop to fold, the one i got via a store was way to stiff.

Dont critique my prop mount lol just threw it on for effect... Prop stop is there, black delrin on backside. I meed the thing on the front that keeps em from opening like in pic 2 and rippin the plane apart.

Kloner, ive got a 10 inch graupner ill try tomorrow.

Hey Elliot,

The way you have your motor mounted is bringing the prop very close, My motor is behind the mount leaving much more room.
TBS adjustable mount and I needed to be back for my C.G.

But, After having a mates skywalker blow up in my face on launch due to a blade strike or thrown blade (haven't worked it out) it got me thinking so I now run a slightly shorter home made "propstop" on the front side aswell to stop blades going forward during no motor aerobatics like stall turns etc. and catching during restart.
Might be overkill but im content

Ive also found the 9x7 aeronaught folders let go on the blade shoulder, they develop a crack from high rpm flying and if you dont catch it it will let go in flight. My O.S motor pulls about 65 amps on 4s with a 9x7 and about 75 on a 10x6 at full throttle. flat n level about 170km/h.
The 10x6 aeronaught is much stronger and does not seem to the same have problems but it a bit slower, Ive gone proper carbon blades, Just trying some HK 10x6 narrow blade carbons with good distance/mah results. They're a bit noisy though. (dont wanna upset Mr farmers cows)
Best speed and quietest prop has been non folding APC 9x7.5E

Chris.

My Zed finally got to do some cloud surfen on the weekend... Now that's a feeling you cant describe!

Motor running the blades should never hit, theoretically anyhow.

Best of luck with the new build.

someone shrunk my ZII!

Okay guys I made another order to Chris and this is what I got in the package.
Something is wrong here Chris!
LOL!
One with the blunt nose and the other with-out, seems to have been left in the dryer a little to long!
Dude! They look cool next to my non-shrunken ZII!

Hahahaha!, I can't lie anymore guys!
I am not really good at it!

Anyway guys and girls here is pictures of the new 30" Mini Z and the 24" Micro Z.

I ran into an issue with the micro, darn motor may not work!
But, I have another on it's way!

One the Mini Z should do good as it is, so I have to find the CG.
As soon as that happens I will shoot a video and show you guys what it is capable of!
With alot more info!
Since I said I would post pictures of them this morning, I am keeping to that.

Thanks Chris for shrinking my order,
Man some people get things Rite on the first WING!
Later!
