I wish I would have gotten a ruby.
The multiwii works but need some firmware changes.
Needs to be ble to adjust each servo in the , or maybe I just am sick of reading code for a bit.

Now the APM2 is surposed to be the bomb, but I am having some wierd thing happenning.
maybe I need some help,
maybe some one can drop me a PM if they are insterested in helping me get this thing setup right!
I got my new ground station setup and I love it so far. going to go fly FPV now!

The Ruby take off is a fantastic way to take the stress out of launching a heavy Zii. You simply flip the control switch to aided mode, apply about 75% throttle and then you throw your plane by grabbing it around the nose. It is a powered launch so I would not recommend the throw from motor mount launch method. Once you toss your lane, Ruby takes over and guides the plane in to the sky. You do not have to worry about rushing your hand back to your right stick at all. It is simple and reliable and makes it a breeze to launch.

Auto landings are cool as well, although not as reliable as it does require a lot of room and some care on the pilot's part to make sure the Ruby isn't taking your plane where you don't want it to go for approach.

Ya the Z has such a long glide slope the auto landing will usually hit close to center line , but most of the time it will be long or short dep on the wind, we did shorten the land to 200 ft and that helped alot.
Lighter models with not much glide land alot closer to the home mark than the ZII

What is the recommended set up for one of these? Im thinking of getting one for my next project and wanted to see what people are using so that i can figure out my budget.

This would obviusly be used for FPV'ing so consider that as well....

thank you

Anyone got amps, watts, and rpms for the ritewing motor on 4s? Looking for full and cruise readings (half throttle).

Hey guys I'm looking to build a super efficient zeph.

I've done a couple of simulations on ecalc with 3s and 4s setups but for 60 min flight time on a 2kg, the static thrust seems a little low: 1kg

Do you have any setups suggestions?
