1. tbs core (80$ but nice and small)
2. 3s battery
3. I use dpcav 1-35V regulator,, (mine came stock at 12V setting, best check it with a voltmeter
http://www.dpcav.com/xcart/Adjustabl...EPIC-Type.html with a filter between it and the things it is powering
http://www.dpcav.com/xcart/Power-Sup...-L-C-Type.html

i've done lots of flights with it and it is reliable and does not reduce rang with uhf, 1.3ghz and gps... the really small 12V step downs have failed on me, don't use them.
yep, I use 4S on the ZII and also use an adjustable step down regulator which powers the 12V video transmitter and 12V camera, but I set it to 10V and I don't use additional filters. My picture is sharp with no interference from the motor. I also use it to provide 10V to my DOSD which I can monitor its voltage for the video system even though it all coming from the one battery.

mainly a cg thing, when it is behind the mount it is a little bit quieter.. slightly more sturdy in front of the mount but louder.

Nice maiden. What size prop did you use? It is a ritewing motor you fitted?

Good to see another jeep at the flying field!

Nice job with your maiden. I like to see someone take their time with a pre-flight check of all the surfaces & motor before launching.

I had an issue once with my Skysurfer where I didn't pre-check and later found that the rudder servo switch had been moved which reversed it's action. I got it down but I won't forget a to check again.

good call, one less battery to charge or worry about.

you should get the filter just in case, but don't install it unless your video is grainy, or video changes when you throttle etc.

Hey all,

Just wanted to share a few pictures of my zephyr with all my TBS gear finally installed!
I think it came out awesome. I added everything from the bottom up.
The quality of the TBS69 camera actually was quite shocking. I never realized how crappy my other camera was lol. Hope to fly it again this weekend. So far i did a range test at a little over a mile and the video was solid.

The TBS core was actually really simple to use and made the wiring really clean.

I made the gopro box from scratch though and added the top. The bottom is all vinyl, and with everything installed right now it comes in at 4.5lb. I will add bigger batteries later when i need more flight time.

Just wanted to say thank you to Trappy for the best support I've ever had with ANY company.

All the pictures were taken by my fiance` Kayli.

Videos to come!

Looks really nice!

I'm getting close to attaching the winglets. Manual says to use "Goop". Not sure what that is down under, anyone recommend a different glue?

Yep. I used a similar glue from Bunnings. Hang on and I will find it's name for you.
