Correct, but the base plate and the motor mount connects the two fuselage parts:

Ah yes, forgot about that bit. Another reason not to bother with double sided tape....

Thanks Jurgen.

If you have no experience whatsoever with fixed wing aircraft I would advice some simulator hours to train the thumbs, because compared to a hovering helicopter the feeling is very different

Is the manual available on-line for ES II? I checked the Multiplex USA website and didn't see it.

Us Multiplex is not an American company, why didn't you try the original German website? Numbers 10 & 11 on the comprehensive list of downloads...

Thanks for the link. I'm well aware Multiplex is not an american company. However, Multiplex USA (http://www.multiplexusa.com/) should provide this information on their website as a service to their customers.

From their website:

"Hitec / Multiplex USA is known throughout the hobby industry for providing the highest level of service and support for our products. This means support for both customers and dealers over the phone, the internet, at selected major events and R/C trade shows. To contact us regarding the usage or repair of your Multiplex product use one of the methods below."

Mutski,

may I suggest you pay attention to the rather long glide approach /final required for the stock EZ (spoileron set-up excluded). It cheats a lot of people by grossly overshooting the runway/landing zone. Make sure you don't have any obstacles at the end of the landing area, as chances are you will also overshoot it too

Let us know how it goes!

Come on, the EasyStar is no high performance glider. Just slow her down using up elevator and she will sink quite rapidly.

Has anyone use sotog's aluminum motor mount for the EasyStar II? I am building an EasyStar II for a friend (he's competent, but lazy ) and he bought sotog's motor mount for it. There were no instructions but I assume you glue the aluminum plate to the foam motor mount/pod? Is it that simple?

If you mean the CNC adjustable one, then this is one of the best things which happened to EZ* :-)
I have them on old EZ and SS and just ordered one for EZ II.
Yep just slap on some glue and push it in.
I use silicon for caulking sinks LOL, it works and is semi elastic = good for bad vibes if you have any :-))
