The font on the topics page is harder to read in the Beta.

I have been using the adaptive width all weekend and like it. It looks nice on all of my devices. Also, the fluid with seems to give the threads too much dead space in the posts.

My favorite feature is the ability to choose your own skin. I hope that stays.

One complaint is that when browsing forums, the first post barely shows on the bottom of the screen. I would prefer to have the page frame the forum/posts/content so that the content started at the top. I know that is a problem with the advertising, but it currently looks like the advertising is the main content, and the forums are an after thought that you have to scroll down to enjoy... just my 2 cents.

Another thought... (I'm rambling now) the user info under the avatar on each post takes a lot of space where the post is limited to a single line. I would recommend to look at making that info collapsible.

Good point... fully agree... I can only get 3 one line posts on my 23 in. widescreen monitor! If collapsing all the extraneous detail is not practical, I'd even prefer it be placed to the side of the avatar so more posts can be read on the screen at the same time.

Also, I don't get the horizontal line definition between threads in the "My RCGroups" page that I do in the RCGRoups Main Page, which makes it harder (for me) to match the column data for each thread. With a widescreen monitor this becomes more of an issue. A little hard to explain... maybe these screen grabs make more sense. I highlighted the lines I'm referring to with yellow. The lines don't show up as well in the attached pictures as they do on my monitor, but the "My RCGROUPS" page has none at all.

I've been a heavy user of this site for years, and I love the new beta look with adaptive width. Good job! All the stuff I actually care about seems to work just like I expect it to, but the new flatter colors (less clashing gradients, borders & dropshadows) is really cleaner and easier on the eyes.

It's really tough to pull off a good redesign, but if this is what you're settling on, I think you've got a winner! Thumbs up

On a more serious note! I personally prefer the old style but I don't dislike the Beta, since you guys are working on some changes I can only suggest you find some common ground between the two styles. there is no rush is there? I mean this change could be over a decade for those who dislike it!.

Width issues are neither here not there to me, probably a good thing.

But losing the borders and underlining in the beta style makes all the content visually run together. The reduced contrast between read and unread topics is a step backwards, as is the overall paler blue font. Original style I find particularly easy to look at - new style instant discomfort.

Hi, the like feature is cool!
I thought it was going to be at the bottom of each post as someone suggested before but I see it now, donít think it needs a enable/disable option in settings it is fine as a permanent fixture.
