Yeah I flew it again yesterday and landed almost exactly at the 5 min mark and put back 176 mAh, The flying was a more even mix of scale and 3D/hard aero. That is right about where I want it. Of course the 3 blade prop definitely draws more power than the regular 5030 would so a 5 min timer should be fine for everyone else flying with the 3000kv motor.

Yeah that motor is awesome on this plane. The 3 blade is just for looks, The beast is draggy enough and doesn't really need any extra thrust either. It does look really nice on there though!! I compared my flights to the one video posted here earlier of the beast flying on the 5030 and 3000kv and mine is definitely slower, not a lot but noticeable.

Took this thing out for my second flight today in 11mph winds. Wind was gusting up to around 13 on the anomometer but mostly steady 11mph... Handled it like a champ! Knife edging a umx plane in 10+mph winds is something I never thought possible. This is by far my favorite plane! I need a new battery lead adapter tho and everyone around here is sold out.. Any ideas?

OK.

BTW - you'd have a lot more power if you used 2s packs that plug directly in, such as the Hyperion 240 mAh UMX packs.

Hey Joel, Sorry I must have worded my post poorly. I use the Hyperion 180's and the 240's from babbel. I also have a slew of nanotech 180s for spares. I run them directly. I needed the balance charge plug, and not the 1s adapter. Thanks for your help tho! This plane is ridiculously awesome

Ah, now I get it! My LHS just started stocking the HH charge-adapters. I'm using Glenn's from RC Connectors, though. Better-made & less expensive. It's not often that one can put those words together in the same sentence!

Isn't it an amazing little plane? Windy or calm - it doesn't matter. I get a big grin on my face every time I take 'er up!

Actually, I thank you! ...that was just awe inspiring to watch!!!

Simply poetry - an extension of the mind of the pilot dancing in the air.

Brilliant.

So how do you keep it in the torque roll like that? Are you holding some right aileron to slow the roll down and then just correcting with rudder/elevator when necessary? I can do torque rolls on my larger planes but I struggle a little with the Beast.

I am everywhere the highest deflection, but the focus must be much back and that's massacre

M.Pasacek,

Nice flying! Where do you have your CG set? Is it neutral or further back?
