I have my right wing broken and have no idea how to fix the wing struts as they are broken from the plastic attachment.
Foam safe CA. I had one spot on mine where the wires wouldn't reach the holes to reattach. I cut a small amount off of a WD40 straw put the wire into the straw with some CA and some CA on the straw to connect it to the HUB. Has worked well both in function and matching the color of the airplane.

Well I did go ahead and tape some bbq skewers to the LE of both wings and it has definitely saved me in a few rough landings that the wing hit first. I know it's not the intended config for the wing but I can now hold the plane by the wingtip only with little to no flex. It doesn't seem to have changed the flight characteristics that much that I can tell either. I believe it would still fly just fine even if I broke all of the guide wires as well. It wouldn't look nearly as cool though without them.

I didn't do a really clean job as I was in a bit of a hurry. I bent and cracked a wing on my maiden which is why I did this to begin with but now I am glad I did. I'm actually pretty good at flying this little bird but not so great at landing it. Here's a pic of one of the skewers.

Hey all,
Got my GeeBee about a week ago. I have been reading this forum and it seems like the general consensus is that the 5030 prop is the best. Does anybody have a link for where I might be able to acquire a few of them?

Second: I hear mixed reviews on batteries, which one would y'all recommend for this great little plane? Thanks in advance for the advice!

No one is getting my Gee Bee. I love this little plane! I just convinced my buddy to grab one before they are just a footnote in history.

I like how people love to see it fly, it seems to attract attention, I have all these planes but people want to check out the Gee Bee and see me fly it.

One of my "go to" suppliers. Awesome prices..and fast shipping. Located in Ocala FL. When I lived in NC, my orders got there in about 2 days on small items...3 days for larger stuff.

Thanks CubCrazy! Any recommendations on what batteries I should look for? Keep in mind I am on a budget!

A question for all you aeronautical engineers

I am planning to add some cf to the bottom of my Bee Gee wing to protect my wings as best as I can.

I am looking at using a pair of .06" cf rods through the fuselage to the ends of the wing.

My question has to do with the placement of the CF on the wing and the potential impact to the flight characteristics of the Bee Gee.

Can they be run along the front of the wing close to the fuselage and be directed towards the tip of the wings the farther out they go? How will placement effect the flight characteristics.

Thanks for your thoughts.
