I'm fairly sure the oil is causing the bearing to separate. I think part of the bearing is plastic. I can't see too well in there, and i don't have a new one right now. But this was a all of a sudden thing the last two times. I also have a lot of sand here. Could be part of it or not. But i would think it's best to not oil this part and replace if needed otherwise.
I think sand is your killer there, mate!
- plus the oil helps the sand stick more - making it worse!
- need to be very careful with oil, especially if there is a lot of dirt around....

BTW, which slipper-clutch are you using?

Pimped out V120D02s

This guy has pimped out his V120 with a new Gyro, Rx, Servos, Motor, Esc!

http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=486675

Gyro: ZYX-S - Looks good!
Rx - I would go with FrSky Rx
Servos - any suggestions?

As FYI, I've been using TriFlow on the tail steering sliders for almost a year and have had no issues.

Actually, i agree. But i still think part of that bearing may be plastic. Anyway, i also found that my tail servo is oscillating violently, not just in the center like i had thought. Full on, constant oscillation. I'm sure that didn't help things. I use the microline hobbies slipper clutch because i can easily straighten the bent shafts and i can oil my bearings regular, without too much worry.

He has the right idea, but man, what a mess!! lol hanging all those wires out the nose and everything. Looks real heavy too.

This is more my style, of course. Everyone knows i love my BeastX. Either way this is still a much cleaner install. I suppose it depends on your solder capability. I could pull this off, but i'm not going to waste my time or money.. He makes everything nice and tight though. It's a Microbeast with a Spectrum Satellite, all installed in the nose.

Well since my Super CP came with a DEVO7e, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and buy one of these. I'm mainly looking at it as a training tool for my Goblin 500. Wish me luck.

V120D02S-XTR (V1) - Xtreme spin with 9T pinion (5 min 53 sec)

I know some of you either had once owned, or currently own a 4f200. I'm quite proud of how mine is flying lately... Hopefully it keeps together mechanically though Running close to 5000 rpm at the beginning of the flight, it can fly easily @ 70% - 80% without struggle. I'm thinking about gearing down too, well see when i get the CC Phoenix 35 ESC setup for governor though. Oh well, the project is nearly complete... Still waiting to afford a better gyro to complete the package though.

Custom 4f200 - 80% throt. You'll wish your's flew like this! (3 min 53 sec)

IntegrityHndywrk, I put some of those KBDD main blades on my stock motor V120 & it's awesome. Had to increase my expo cause it banks fast to keep from dumping it. Got 2 more sets in today to put on my HP08S V120's. Might be going back to stock motors on them. Flips are no problem flying low like I do in my front yard with stock motor & KBDD blades. You should try going back stock motor with those KBDD blades you get longer flight times & see what you think.

I've been thinking about doing that actually. But with the 9T pinion on my Xtreme spin 16,300. I think i'm getting around 4 minute flights. With the Turnigy Nano packs i should be getting more. Those packs in my D05 give me a easy 5 minutes, and the D05 is quite a bit heavier. The D02S has been down for a while because the tail pitch slider blew out on me again. I have some on order though. I have a feeling that with these batteries the performance will still be better with he Spin motor. But i'm positive that the stock motor would be ripping pretty good with the KDBB blades.. Supposedly the bulleted blades are even better. I have not tried them yet. But a few people here said they work good.

You might want to dial back your cyclic EXT. pot on the RX rather than increase expo. It might feel better for you. It will calm down the cyclic. If you feel like the collective response is too high you might adjust your pitch curve a little bit more flat in the center. It's all preference, so you just have to tune it how you like.
