Suggestion: create a spreadsheet/calc sw to dimensioning Quads
i would to suggest a small "community" project: create a spreadsheet (or DB or whatever) to calculate quadcopter dimensioning, in a way that (i.e.) Motocalc or similar programs do for electric motors.
first part would be getting real data from as most users as possibile.
second would be creating a software or simply a excel macro doing some math and graphs
Input data would be:
motor model/size + prop (picking known data from programs like Motocalc)
battery size & cells
program would output:
max adviced payload (conservative)
max payload (full-throttle)
estimated flight time
estimated Amp, Watt at hover
max Amp, Watt
.... and so on.
Possibly giving user to choose real motors, props avaiable on the market.
what about it?
