I've been looking for something that I could control the light patterns from the transmitter but so far no luck. I'm sure it's coming though. It was a lot of work wiring it up but I'm enjoying it.

It could be done using that remote but you would eat-up a few channels on the receiver. Plus the added weight.

Radian Pro with Floats. Now with Lights?

I recently constructed/installed some floats for my Radian Pro. I may just have to try night flying it too.

I see HK has some "Water Proof LED's". Has any one used these? Are they really water proof?

Yes they are, but they add a fair amount of weight.

As long as you stay with fresh water you need no "Water Proof LED's". The voltage is low so there is not much current flowing through the water. The LEDs are nearly immune to water. At least if the time is not too long and the pressure is low. Just wire them as usual.
Even with seawater a short dip will do no harm as long as you wash it afterwards.

Ok, thanks.
The bottom of the plane gets a little wet from taking off, landing, and taxing.
I'll try some normal led strips. If this works out, I'm sure it will be quite a sight.

Thanks again.

That is good to know. I had my Burned Retina out at SEFF this year and was incredibly tempted to dunk the tail in the lake, but I was so very fearful of a short with 3s and 501 LEDs that I never gave it a try
