Really impressed by the results (auditory) posted by all of you.

Got 2 of these in the mail and looking forward to install them in a

Sapac T-45 Composite V2 and an HK Mig-15 70mm.

I'm enjoying my Venom F-86 with the ChangeSun 70mm fan. Sorry for the wind noise in the video, it was pretty windy last weekend and I'm working on a microphone cover that will dampen that somewhat.

Hey, since I'm not in need of Mach1 speed for my airliner, I was looking at these motors. 2700 kv.
http://www.hobbypartz.com/75m96-ducted-2220-2700.html

Good for up to 5S power. Found a set up on 4S running a Wemo 6904 and was only pulling 34 amps.

Figure this might fit the bill for the CS units for me.

Thoughts?

Nice sound in that video!

Did you have to balance the fan?

My Friend flew this exact setup (CS70-10 & Exceed 70mm EDF Motor) in his foamy Habu on 4S3300. It flies it with plenty of authority and plenty fast.

I'll have to ask him about the current draw...

No, it runs smooth right out of the box, MUCH better than the stock unit!

I'm looking for opinions on a good motor for a twin set up myself. To me the kv seems kind of high for that application on those motors. I was thinking more like 2100kv.

Looks to me like the amps and power output (Thrust) are pretty linear.
So just pick what you want to power it with and how many amps you can
spare and go!

Great! let me know what you find out. Like said it's an airliner so I'm not looking for supersonic flight. Just love the looks of the fan units, and would like just a little more thrust and speed.

Whoops, forgot to mention I'd prefer a 3S set but would step up to a 4 if I had too.

Anyone tried out those Turnigy L2855s 2100kvs? They seem to be good for 4 and 5s power

I 've got it in my cart for my next order.

But isn't the 2100KV too low for 4S with this fan?

5S sounds about right.

Some guy was complaining about the bearing tolerances with these motors, but I have the 2800kv one and it works great. 2100kv is a 5 or 6s motor, I was going to try 6s with it.

Dave,

Currently I have the original SAPAC 3100 KV motor in mine (not flown yet), but I also have that exact motor sitting around. What's the amp draw on 4S?
