exactly!!....so it isn't really a secret then is it? funny I thought RCG'S was an information sharing site. could you please reveal the 6s motor you are using (2w25?) and what rpm you are achieving at 65amps to get 4.6lbs of thrust

14 volts was under load at 79 amps X 3300= 46200X .85
= 39270 RPM

So 39270 is about what I am turning. I can live with that. My jet is quick, has really good verticle, but not using so much power that I worry about life of battery and motor components.

That means I'm getting 42K out of my Eflite 3600 and Plush 60 static!
13.8V X 3600 -15% =42228 (voltage taken AFTER 15 secs...so probably low)
And I know from the sound that it's getting more RPM in flight.

That has to be tough on your 60 amp controller since I am pulling 78 amps on the ground using 300kv less than you.

I think the plush down speeds the out put to keep it in line. But I never hear it.
When I go from half to full before I toss it for take off..The rpms go to full (Whatever that is) and stay there til I let off. And that is around 70 amps. ESC is rated to 80 for 10 secs. But batts are really 62 amps continuous.
So really? I'm over working the entire setup....But it rocks right now! LOL

I very much doubt it's a 2W-25. KV will be too high for one these highly loaded fans on 6S. It's gotta be the 2W-30 (which has a longer can too!). Mark - tell me I'm right

Think I'm gonna have to order one for myself. I already have one of these CNC housings (with an ARC 28-58-1) and it's awesome just to look at.

Sounds like it may be the case..remember I am just using approx 15% loss in the system to get a est...at higher KV it may be more but it allways been a good way to guess at a setup...I lso am going to test the 3600 on my fan..just finnished ballancing the rotor so it will be up next on the test stand

Also when you test try to get the volts under load( no guessing) so you can get a better est of rpm as you will be suprized how much batts can sag when loaded hard. I just tested my CS90 12 blade and the batts dropped to low volt cut under the load..esc was set to 3.2v per cell..and they are rated to 40c..but that is what happens when near 3k watts

you may be on to something there
I think your right I missed that one, this means the eflight stock Habu32 6s motor at 2150kv might be perfect fit for this fan on 6s

that is under load,the battery is getting slammed at 3.45vdc per cell after only 15sec and if he could see his rpm it would be at 40k or less. thats whats driving the amps up and battery voltage down

Woud everyone who has not measured amps, volts and RPM please stop spreading misinformation about this fan. Nobody is spinning this fan at 45000+ RPM with less than 2500 watts. Were talking about 142 amps at 18.4Volts. That is unsustainable in a 28mm motor.

Here are REAL, MEASURED amps, volts, watts, RPM, as recorded by my Castle Ice2HV 120 ESC with a ARC 28-58-1 motor (3180kv):

With Inlet lip:

4s Fresh Charge Peak: 13.7V, 94.5A, 1300W, 37,803 RPM.
After 10 Seconds: 13.3V, 83.8A, 1115W, 35,818 RPM

5S Fresh Charge Peak: 18.4V, 142A, 2610W, 46,320 RPM
After 10 seconds: 17.0V, 130A, 2215W, 43,484 RPM

5S is a Neu Energy 5S 5000 46C

It looks to me like it takes a lot of power to spin this thing in the low 40's RPM. Approximately 3.3 Horsepower to turn it 46K RPM.

These are facts! It takes enormous power (for a 70mm fan) to spin this at over 40,000 RPM.

I totally agree with you this is why I said earlier that this fan hits the load wall at 40k, this is what we are seeing also. it is also why I keep asking mark to reveal his motor and rpm #'s claiming 4.6lbs thrust at 65amps on 6s, if true that appears to be decent performance. wasnt sure if you backing up my post or not
