Yeah it's like the hole isn't square with the fan so the whole thing wobbles back and forth about a 16th of an inch .Figures , ALWAYS my luck

I have a lot of these fans and have never had one with that sort of issue.
Are you sure it is on the 'cones' of the balancer properly?
The fans are moulded and it would be hard for them not to come out correct!

this is an RC-castle version , not sure if that's just a copy or the same manufacturers ? It was also quite out of balance. I just sent them an email .

as i noted when they first came available , they appear different in the hub area, at least compared to the c/s rotors i have, even though some here who obviously know more than i shot me down and said they were the same.

fwiw , the c/s rotors i received were also fairly close balance wise .

You know what ? After balancing it's not too bad . The runout even seems not so bad . It could have been sitting funny on the tapers like you said Peter . It was really out of balance though .

The L2855 2100kv smoked on me, so I put in the HET 2W-30 setup out of my old Panther.
Now she's starting to come alive

Yeah, the ones I had all needed some weight to balance them but the raw fan itself was always very true and blades even on the CS version.

That's what was maddening for me -- more and more care taken on the static and dynamic balance attempts with same issue, finally traced to adapter run-out, which I believe is due to oversized shaft hole dia, in my case.

Yours definitely sounds different. Sorry for jumping to conclusion.

FMS F-16 with CS10

Here's a short video of my first EDF running the CS10 fan. All in all I like it! Just wish it were slightly louder
L2855 2300kv, 5s 3000 Sky Lipo 40c, 1000 watts, 52 amps.
I'm getting about 3:30 flight time with mixed throttle usage.

it was plainly obvious to anyone who has worked a lot with these rotors that they were not from the same molds but also it is a copy so is it better or worse? that was my only question. I did not see anyone shoot you down or I would have backed you up. they are not the same!! but they could be better........or worse....lol!!!
the cs 70/10 rotor is actually a very good rotor and come with very good consistency from cs I know this from balancing over 200 of them from when they first hit the market........I just wish all the products from china had the same quality and consistency of the cs 70/10........just dont turn them over 46k rpm this is their failing point.

Guys,

I don't mean to be uptight but the CS10 rotor is made by ChangeSun. This is what is getting discussed here. Everything else, no matter how similar, if discussed here, can only lead to confusion to the newcomer.

In the end we have to be able to have a clear picture in order to try this, that or another product.

It could probably be useful if owners of the cyclone power opened a separate thread.
