Yes please give us a few more details on the specs.

Cheers
Thanks guys

The setup is listed under the video on the youtube page.
I put the plane on the watt meter with an 80% full battery and got 1680watts and 74amps. AUW is ~1.6kg

Here is another video, with a slightly better cameraman

I love that hand-launch!!!!
Very little risk of things going amiss then. (As long as you have the power!)

Good landing too.....

I need help !
I have a Freewing f16 that i want to put my cs10 fan in. I tried it on the stock motor and it was pulling 61 amps at 830 watts with a 60amp esc and a 4s 40C 2200 lipo. until the blue smoke came out of the motor. It sure sounded good though, for the 1 minute flight LOL.
It looks like some have had success with the HK L2855 motor but they are out of stock now. My question is, do you know of another motor that might work with the equip I have now (60amp esc and a 4s 40C 2200 lipo). I was looking at the Tracon motor as a possible option code 96m821-2860-2550kv
Net Weight (g) 176
Watts 1300
Outer Diameter?mm) 28
Length (mm) 64
Stator 42MM
No of cells (lipo) 5
Shaft Diameter (mm) 4.0
KV (RPM/VOLT) 2550
Max Voltage 23
design for LEOPARD

Thanks for the advise

The weight is right around 6.5 lbs if I remember correctly. This is my second one and they fly really nice.

Complete pain in the butt to build, but worth it. Most planes I can put together in a couple of days, this one took about 3 months.

If you plan to use the Tacon 2550kv motor on 5s I can tell you it's a great motor but on 5s it pulls 85amps and close to 1550watts (peak).I can't comment on 4s use , I have not tried it.

I have been using this motor for a few months now and have been more than happy with the performance. Have a look at this video for a better idea how it performs on 5s .

There are a few more videos on my Youtube page if you want to see more. http://www.youtube.com/user/skyryder1000

Parkzone Habu- Change Sun 70MM 10 blade fan unit/ Tacon LBP2860 2550kv motor/ 5s pack. (3 min 32 sec)

Thanks skyryder,
I think I'll give the Tracon motor a try. 4s is all I can get in the Freewing F-16 so the amps should come down.May need to up the esc to a 80amp size to be safe.
If I can get somewhere near 700 watts and 60 amps it should be near perfect. All I really want is the sound of the CS10 fan, with somewhat better performance over the stock motor.

Its all stock, mine came with a large cheater hole from the factory. I used to fly it on a Turnigy L2855 2300KV also on 6S and it wasn't much slower.

I don't think that L2855-2300kv would have lasted too long.....

Finally got my EDF's in after waiting 3 months plus and lied to over several e-mails. All I can say is I'm disappointed, these are cheesy fan units. I'll let ya know how they work out for me. I hope they are what they have been hyped up to be. But from just looking and feeling them, for what they are, they are way over priced.

I still don't believe that any fan can have as much bang for the buck than the mini-fan. We shall see.

Well they are minimalist.... thin and flimsy, but just adequate really. I have not had an issue with any yet. But yes, compared to other low blade count fans, of equal materials, they are expensive. Probably "worth" between $8 to $12 still though.
