Yes, with 3300mah cells on 12s...same as F120....

Got over 5 minutes mixed throttle on F120 during fly in this weekend and 2lbs of dead weight....vertical almost unlimited without extra weight so keeping it light = more flight time with less efficient fan

The fan I'm talking about gets around 16lbs - 17lbs 3500 watts, come on Tam...you know what fan this is....it's ugly and crude but it puts out with right motor and will fit in SM with very little modding.

Yes, 25lbs AUW...used 2700mah on maiden ...really nice numbers ...the video I saw had around 4.5min flight time...with 65c pack and only 2700mah used that can be flown with 3300 cells and have room for 30 second WOT bolter if need be and even more for 4000mah pack.

I will be redoing the wings for this model and pretty much empty cock pit and TAM struts and some ESM etracts..

I will be keeping it light then adding the weight of scale looks later...

DUH! As I recall, the manufacturer's rating on this fan was right around 40K. No wonder they blow at 44K plus!

Yeah...
Just want to confirm where is the limit of the rotor.
But with right mix of injected material. It can handle a lot more.
I spin Wemo 53k and no blow rotor.

I didn't see that you were blowing them at 46k. Guess I better dial mine back some

My tests were hitting more than 48k.

Tam, maybe you can talk them into making you a HiPo version of the rotor that you could balance and make it good for 60k. I'm serious.

x-flights rating for the 10 blade is 52.000 rpm...I wonder if they realy tested it...

Yeah it would be nice the rotor can hold 50k.
Than it safe to run 2.5kw.
Right now we work on 2kw 6s with NeuMotor to be safe at 43-44k RPM.
This good 70mm set up fly anything up to 8 lbs 90mm plane.

I had documentation from Change Sun that listed it at 42K, max. That was when they first became available a few months ago.

Kept wing loading light and you be suprise it use less power to fly.
Just like the F-100 I just got it flew. It flew so light on power and still very fast.

The F-100 blew the rotor before take off on second.
With broken in 65C pack it goes up to 2.5kw over 48K RPM when it blew.

The wemotec Minifan rotor is a very different construction, GRP based molding not this carbon impregnated stuff. I already asked the factory about molding the 10 blader in a GRP material, time will tell if it is done.

I run the Minifan rotor at 56K+ with the old ARC2858 setup, and with the new 1W40 its running at 63K without issue, of course balance must be perfect. When I did destructive testing I had to take it well over 70K to explode it, saw over 3.5kg thrust on the stand before it blew, and it took 2 runs to blow it, very tough rotor.
