Syma S033G - Larger Battery

I bought a Syma S033G (Yellow) at the mall the other day, it was an impulse by, and I was wondering if I could buy a larger battery somewhere?

Current Battery:
11.1V 1100mah Li-Pol Battery

Batter I want to get:
11.1V 2700mAh 30C LiPo Battery Pack
http://www.helipal.com/storm-11-1v-2...vf4j19qeelku72

Does anyone know if I need to get a new charger for this battery? And will this new battery from helipal fit into the battery compartment on the Syma S033G?

Are there any other longer lasting batteries that can fit this Syma S033G besides the one I listed above? It seems that is the largest one I can find.

hello, i bought a 11.1V 2200mAh 20C LiPo Battery Pack from amazon, for about $20

it JUST fit into the nose(where battery resides),works fine
seems to last me almost up to 30min of flying time, however i recommend taking breaks during that 30min(motors get hot)
My heli used to drift slightly backwards,so the added weight point made it tend to go forward now. (if it goes 2 fast forward for you you might need to add some tail weight to even it out)

From that link the pic shows a 2200mah battery, not 2700,so I would double check the mah before purchase
But 2200 is more than enough, trust.
I posted a link to a battery for $17

Hi Guys, does the 2200mah battery help the power on the so33g or just the flight time?

Hi guys, sorry for grave digging but i signed up specifically for the question...
I got myself a S033G today, and am disappointed with flight time...
The battery i have inside is a 7.4V 1500mAh...
Why are your voltages higher? and can i cause some damage by over volting?
And did anyone else find an even better battery?

Hi and welcome to the club!! You have to accept, I'm afraid, that flight times on coax's are never that long. You will damage yours by going to 11.1v that was the voltage that the earlier so33g ran on.
You can however buy a larger capacity (mah) battery but the higher you go the heavier the battery and that affects your time too.
I use 2200mah batteries that weigh about the same as the stock battery and after changing the leads I just velcro them to the underneath of the canopy.
They can be changed in an instant and moved around to suit the wind conditions.
I would suggest buying a proper digital charger(approx 20) these can recharge much quicker and If you buy two batteries and using your original one you can have some good long play's. Stop every few minutes too cool off the motors though.
