The rotor I ordered from HK showed up today. It appears to be the newer one, weight and stiffness confirm this.

LOL, The good one. The faulty ones came in around 45 grams and the blades would flex more by hand.

If they weren't completely out of the old stock and mixed the new ones with it, It could be a crap shoot which one you get.

Which is kinda why I'm not sure which direction I want to go. I want the CS12 in my Euro but dont want to chance ordering another and having it be the old version as well.

Thanks for the idea v8. I'll have to look into those. Are those the fairly heavy ones?

the shroud is alloy so ya the draw back is added weight. However im sure you could drop the fan into another lighter shroud, but then that defeats the purpose of spending the extra cash. Wonder if the sell just the fan w/o the shroud?

V8, from what I know their fan is from CS but is it the harder version I m not sure. The different in the dps fan is the spinner. The shaft adapter "looks" the same tho..

Cheers...

Not necessarily, my Alloy housing is a few grams lighter than the stock CS plastic housing.

good to know I may have to try the dps version if that's the case, especially if the shroud weight is decent and being that it looks shorter than the cs shroud.
