Then I see these 2 options (Black & Red). The Red seems to come with more stuff (stuff that I need I think). Like the connectors from RX to FC. The Black is more expensive but doesn't have those parts. What am I missing here (see pic 2):

I have the black Multiwii board, (One with more sensors on it), When i bought my board it came wiith enough leads to connect to RX, i think i spent $70-80 on my board of Ebay.

Can someone tell me what this is? Blackboard or blueboard? Any good? Sounds cheap, but is it worth it? Just curious. I ordered other parts from them. Waiting for arrival.

I have a question..

I bought this multiwii board from GLB: http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mwc-multi...breakout-.html

I do believe that it comes with software for a quadcopter on the board. My question is how do i go about reprogramming it to work as a tricopter controller? I have the multiwii GUI program by the way.

Thanks and if you could assist me i would be greatly appreciative!!

free flight is better if you like multiwii the good way and rabbit runs on stolen multiwii software with more sensors (in the more expensive board) so is better for those who dont give a f... sounds like a $40 gps module might be released for rabbit too, maybe within a week?

No, this is not my personal craft. I thought the vid above was relevant due to the controller, frame, and cam results. Of course, I enjoyed the crash test results most.
i agree btw i saw a knockoff of that frame on ebay yesterday

After a discussion with the guys over at hobbyking i now know that unless i plan on going full throttle for more then a few seconds it will be fine to use the XT60s as on average I'll only be drawing ~45amps or so across the connector.

So if anyone else was wondering, the XT60s can handle above 60amps for a couple of seconds but will fry after that.
cheers for the heads up bruv so incase anyone else was wondering did they offer ideas for if you want to draw 120a constant?

the black one will connect up the same way as the red one its just they have wired the leads differently so the black one will actually be lighter once wired up

if you just want auto leveling i would get the free flight board instead cheaper AND timecop wrote a port of multiwii to it chip on free flight board is 6 times faster than the chip on both of those multiwii boards

kk board with mems gyros and 12 motor ports = overpriced crap using the tiny atmega chips (maybe 168s at best? half the power of a multiwii setup) ALL multiwii setups use mems gyros so in effect get an arduino pro mini 5v and a wii motoin plus (should get both for $30 MAX delivered) and you can make the board you link to in around 20mins? and it will run on much better software than that kk boardhas

or for the same price get a free flight board which is 6 times faster than multiwii has mems gyros and accelerometer (so its at least 12times faster than the kk board with better sensors) WHICH IS THE SAME PRICE DELIVERED as that board you link to

All you need in four easy steps:

Step 1 - Download Arduino 0022 or 0023 (Not 1.0) http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
Step 2 - Download MultiWii code http://code.google.com/p/multiwii/downloads/list
Step 3 - Change settings in MultiWii sketch to match your hardware.
Step 4 - Download to MultiWii board

Okay so I'm beginning to understand. Couple of questions though:

-why do I need to arduino software for the goodluckbuy board if it's not an arduino?
-Where do I find the multiwii sketch?

Thanks for actually answering I appreciate it!!

From the link in your previous post:
MWC MultiWii Lite lightweight version of the hardware configuration:
· ATMEGA328P microcontroller
· ITG3205 three-axis digital gyroscope
· ADXL345 three-axis acceleration sensor

MWC above the mainstream hardware platform with a combination of commonly used, which is equivalent to Arduino Pro Mini combined with 6DOF IMU sensors, integrated flight control design makes the work more stable.

For the second question go to the link in Step 2 and download "MultiWii_1_9.zip". The sketch and GUI are in the zip file.

Looks like you need step-by-step instructions. Search for MultWii setup on the Web and on YouTube.

Edit: Also have a look at the first post here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1261382 for setup links.
