You don't need that no more. Check the manual for range testing.

yea im using the Turnigy 2s 7.4v lipo for the DX8 which also runs a 7s.

So i taped into the power of that battery. DL requires at least 7-12v from my understanding.

Just spread the 3 wires apart. Put a connector on the red/black for your batt to plug in. and solder the orange to the white one in the trainer jack which is your PPM/Signal.
Plug the trainer jack in. (radio should power up with out turning the radios switch on)
then plug your 2s lipo into the batt connect you made coming from the DL TX

From the website:

CALIBRATION: It is advised to calibrate your receiver to your Dragon Link Transmitter when the system is new. This procedure must be done for EACH receiver you have, as the calibration information is stored in each receiver. With the antenna mounted on your Dragon Link transmitter ( Not dummy load ), Hold down the binding button while powering the transmitter on for 7 seconds, first the LED will be RED, hold it down a full 7 seconds until it turns GREEN. Release the button as soon as the LED turns GREEN, and if you have done it correctly, the LED will flash alternating RED and GEEN. Now, Jump the signal pins of Pins 5 and 6 of the Reciever with the antenna DISCONNECTED, and power it on. Let the system run like this for a full 10 minutes. Turn the Transmitter off, Then turn the Receiver off. Remove jumper on RX, it is now exactly calibrated to your transmitter. I recommending doing this procedure when the system is new, and once a year. This is NOT needed, and NOT recommended every time you fly.

does anyone have an older version RX for sale? I got my system last March. It wasn't the "really old" dragon link, but it isn't the brand new ones I've seen. I'd rather just buy a RX instead of sending my TX and 2RX in for an upgrade just so i can buy a new V2 RX

i think i have a V1 dragon link, the sides are rounded. I have a 12 channel version C receiver that I need.

Hi,

There is no more need for dummy loads. See page 700 of this thread of information on the new firmware on your Version 1 system.

Enjoy !!!

Yes you can buy an RX of any firmware version you wish, just pay close attention to the date your system shipped to you and order the correct firmware for that date.

There is no need for dummy load any more, for any system with the new firmware. We found that they are to easy to loose, and that it was kind of a pain in the ass to deal with them, so we changed the firmware so that they are never required anymore.
